I don't know many bigger Built to Spill fans than myself and I'm OK with Boris representing B for the 2000s. BtS released 4 stone cold classics in the 90s (not even counting their compilation). I don't hesitate to call them the best rock band of that decade, but IMO they lost some steam after Keep It Like a Secret, at

I hate to defend my least favorite single from the album (an album I love), but “Everybody Hurts” is not whiny. Maudlin? Perhaps. Trite? I'll allow it. But he's not whining. Anyway, if you're going to publicly trash an album, listen to the damn thing.

What exactly do you mean by "censored, and silenced or otherwise drowned out"? Do you mean that people should not give racists and misogynists a platform? Or do you think that racism and misogynism should be made illegal and people like Yiannopoulos fined or jailed?

Also, I thought we weren't body shaming anymore.

Also, I'm getting an ad about the right time to start my HIV treatment. My wife has some splainin' to do!

I'm just glad Slint is reuniting again. Hope they win the case!

Do people love Swingers?

"…so Hanks wisely chose a number that would stand up to repeated listenings."

Obviously

I remember that. I'd never seen someone squirm in his chair so aggressively. Maybe my memory is exaggerating it. But it's not like that was a difficult task. Most guys would fare worse enduring a casual yet public conversation about getting busted receiving a blow job from a prostitute.

He looks more like Forrest Gump than David Byrne.

"Brown Lives Don't Matter"

Citing the Redskins as an example of cultural appropriation in this context is kind of odd. It's correct, but the problem most people have with the name today is that redskin is a racial slur.

Wait, bath salts, or bath salts?
