Unless I'm missing something that happened, Jim has no one left who who knows he was a spy with Fritz gone. Paul is, but he's the one with leverage to flip him, which could be what saves Jim. Lawyer is dead, Green is dead. Jeannie is dead. Jim and Frank have knowledge of each other that could keep each other quiet

It left several stories wide open to continue on; maybe Abby's a dead end with her journey to California; and our two CIA agents-to-be (Paul and Bucher, or whatever his name really is) who we didn't see at all except for a brief moment of Paul; and of course, the Cold War…maybe Paul will flip Jim.

Good review.

When Gallinger came home after his hearing, Dorothy asked him if he went for Algie's eye. He said something like 'as a hammer to a nail' and then said 'he has no idea how I knew'. So, just how did he know about his eye? Thack and a nurse (Pell?) were the only ones in the OR, so they knew, and the black

You're normal.

Hmmm…sounds plausible. Will watch tomorrow night again for some of these 'subtle' points that are being discussed.

Doubt it, but there was some reason for the camera lingering on it, and the tension build up between Barrow and the club's manager. Or maybe it's just additional play on Barrow and his scraping/scheming for money.

I'm confused about Sarah Hay/Claire's nomination for a Golden Globe. Is she an exquisite dancer? Yes…but not certain what acting she is doing in this role.

There are a couple of comments below about the check Barrow gave to the club…is it real or are there funds to cover it? One might assume it's the same bank where the Barrow safe deposit boxes are. Now if 'that' building burns down, no doubt who's at fault there!

Agree. Thack even tells Robertson that he is probably responsible in the face of Robertson's apparent disbelief. Thack then starts working the situation so that both 'sides' win, which is not unlike how he often cuts to the chase when he mediates other issues…such as Gallinger and Algie and 'that brain' discussing

Cornelia's tail could have reported back, but it would have to have been rather quickly. "They" might not have known the Captain was also in the building. But a fire is pretty dramatic, unless insurance was worth more than the investment.

The camera did linger on that check, which also made me wonder. And yes, there might have been no meeting in such an odd place. Henry made it up on the spur of the moment as he and Neely discussed what to do…and Barrow's suggestion of a calamity was all he needed.

Exactly. If she brings down the Captain, she hurts the financial interests of the Showalters.

Not that it makes much difference, probably, but when I rewatched tonight, Henry said that the father had asked to meet him, Henry, there at 8PM. Henry then suggested Neely meet them both. I had originally thought the idea to meet at the new Knick was Henry's. Still, he could have thought about Barrow's concerns

Just rewatched, and yep, the prostitute said she'd charge 15 cents. I could have sworn she said 'she charged 15 cents', meaning Harry.

Especially when the society ladies/wives of other members learn about Effie, which definitely will happen!

It is to me. She stated he was going to the flames, enjoy your trip…unless she didn't give him enough of whatever she gave him. Still, with that diagnosis, he wasn't going to be around long.

I'm certainly not an actor, but I feel pretty confident that if I had to say or do some things that are portrayed, I would have problems shaking it out of my psyche. I always wondered how Fassbender dealt with it in "12 Years a Slave", and Fiennes in "Schindler's List".

Another thought to add to the list of 'why we hate Gallinger' - as he was pontificating to Algie in the courtyard after the hearing, going on about how eugenics is in its infancy, but is being accepted more and more…"what if we felt that way about vaccines, germ theory of disease"…and whatever else he said. Great

If Neely was tailed to the new Knick, it's possible the tail saw who started the fire.
