He sure liked to beat his daughter. I figured he was more slimy than we saw, but I was pretty surprised at what level it turned out to be.

Thanks…

Next episode as the three are standing around Abby in shock, the escaped bunny comes hopping in. And then, DUH!

How do the reviewers get the reviews up so quickly? Do the shows send episodes early so they can review well ahead and post them immediately?

Yes. The comment about SF definitely points to when they were there and he bought someone off in immigration. And then SF would be an embarkation to Hawaii where the disease could easily have been carried. Not certain there were immigration offices in Hawaii.

It might not have worked, but I was screaming, in my mind anyway, 'Bertie, get that adrenaline! Remember the rabbit!' when Abby crashed.

And he did just sort of show up…

I thought that, too, but Jim hasn't come across as as thinking he's smarter than he really is.

Lazar - he just shows up now and then. We know little about him other than he seems to be a bit of a lone wolf in the work he does.

You know, I had wondered about the phone operator who just happened to be British. She was the one Paul, and apparently Hobarth, went to to transmit info, supposedly to Britain. Why would there be a British phone operator? There were plenty of American wives available. And why was she even there?

Maybe Jim is Perseus and Nora just told him there was another to throw him off. Although Jim doesn't come across as being a know it all…just sort of a regular 'smart' guy who got himself into some trouble he had no clue was coming, nor the degree of danger it would entail.

I have little real knowledge of the Pacific Theater; both my parents were stationed in Europe during WWII, so my interests have always been where their experiences lie. Much of my Pacific info is from watching the documentaries that pop up, and King Rat.

When I first saw Eli, I wondered if he's not working for the Soviets, since the dad of Charlie, the big cheese, could be a tempting target to try to recruit. But I didn't know his history of prison time. He still seemed to be a rather important character to introduce so late into the season. Otherwise, what would

Darrow doesn't do anything half-ass. But who's to know that citizenship ceremony actually took place? And I'm not certain a military officer had that authority back then. They don't today.

But the Japanese were brutal to the British forces in SEA. Guess it was far enough away from the British Isles to have not had as much an impact as the close by Germans.

Hogarth and Paul are passing/ taking secrets to the Brits. Is Hogarth actually sending info to the Soviets through Britain, or is this truly spying by an ally? I've been trying to find sources that a Brit was spying for Britain, but can't really, except for Fuchs, who duped the Brits as well.

What would great karma, if indeed Algie is 'demoted' because of this, is if Thack promotes Bertie instead of Gallinger, or brings in another surgeon…like someone from Mount Sinai.

Eccentric, perhaps, like Albert Einstein and his head of hair. Although Thack doesn't look particularly clean.

Didn't she do the expose' on the mental health institutions, with white physicians?

Like The Americans…which should be back in a few months, I hope. But do the illegals go back that far, or were they a result of the not yet started Cold War?
