I missed it, too!

When Charlie and Oppenheimer were sitting outside talking, Oppenheimer seemed rather bored with what Charlie was saying. Charlie was describing all the possible test sites and Oppenheimer said something like - just pick one. And then 'it was only sex Helen' showed up and Oppenheimer wasn't so bored.

I found the innuendo that Charlie 'cheated' confusing. If it was suspected that he wasn't 'all that', then why was he included, or kept on the project? Frank clearly appreciates him, but if others were questioning him…just rhetorical.

OK - I read your question that you didn't get the comment about the Pulitzer. Can't find any reference to the Allmans. Maybe it was just a comment to highlight that there are a lot of secretive, unexpected things going on.

A reporter's dream would be a Pulitzer. Darrow has given the reporter access to what's going on on the Hill, but that info will most likely be only what Darrow wants printed - thus propaganda.

I agree. She's trying to find or spread any possible 'dirt' on Oppenheimer so that Charlie can be seen in a better light. She has no clue as to the big, ugly 'machine' she is trying to manipulate and the consequences Charlie may have to pay…especially since Oppenheimer has another group that Helen has been invited

It was interesting watching Meeks this episode. As at least one known 'bad' guy, he was shown to actually have a pleasantness about him even though we saw compassion from him last week with the dead coyote. It was fun seeing him be so friendly with Fritz, dressed as a tiger of sorts at the bachelor party, that woman

I thought this episode painted Oppenheimer as a bit of a tomcat - Kitty becoming pregnant while married to another, and the woman in San Francisco. When Helen told Charlie in front of Oppenheimer 'that it was just sex' and Oppenheimer asked for her name, I thought hmmmm…looking for a 'liberated' woman. Then she got

It did seem he was pondering quite deeply what Cate had said to him…I thought the camera stayed on him just a wee bit long so we could catch that it was sinking in.

Wasn't he the ophthalmologist Algie originally consulted with?

I think his murder, with Cornelia investigating as much as is possible (limited), will eventually lead to some shady dealings going on with her family's shipping line. The last he was seen was on one of their docks, asking about irregularities in ill immigrants apparently getting through or past the entrance medical

dAD Elkins.

Hehe…

Did you notice that the gangway at the docks where Speight was last seen has a Robertson banner on the handrail. Considering Speight was checking up on plague in immigrants apparently coming off ships without proper medical clearance, wonder if Cornelia's dad or brother are aware of any of these

I have to wonder just how well Dr Mays got to know the ladies in his practice! He was way too eager to take on 'this endeavor'. 😉

Oh. My. God! I nearly fell over laughing when Dr Mayes said he didn't need stirrups - the woman could just rest her legs over his shoulders! I totally missed what happened next…jeez that was unexpectedly hilarious!

Just like the Soviets were so far ahead of us in everything…

Thanks for commenting!

Ugh - They were lying about Magpie? How did I miss that? Didn't the nazis send his head to the US?

Wait - if Meeks is spying for the Soviets, who facilitated the betrayal of Magpie? Is he working for nazis and Soviets? Or is there someone else? If he's working for nazis, he would want to sabotage Trinity…if working for Soviets, he'd want to know if the darned thing worked.
