"My foot hurts."
"It's psychosomatic, you need a lobotomy, I'll get a saw."

This. That was the first one my mind went to. "How many buckets do we have? One.. two… three.., no need to be alarmed."

The enemies gate is down.

I think I read it in a Gaiman story but the quote "God sometimes leaves blood on his tools." seems appropriate. If there is a plan for existence, it doesn't seem to be too concerned with any individual human, or even humanity as a whole. At least, not from where I'm sitting.

Well if they've gotta do it, this is probably the best way. I just hope it's really funny. If they can't do that, well let's hope those ladies are HOT, HOT HOT!

Spidey being replaced by Doc Ock. grey Hulk, Rhodes Iron Man, Steve Rogers fired, black costumed Spider-Man, dead Captain America, dead every X-man, dead Superman, dead Barry Allen, dead Oliver Queen, dead Hal Jordan. I hear you, but there are advantages to the monthly books. Pacing basically. Some books suffer from not having to wait a month between issues. I have recently stopped lurking and begun commenting, and like the man said on his way down the Empire State Building, "So far, so good." Upvotes are a great substitute for genuine accomplishment.

Of the list I've only read House of Leaves, but quite enjoyed it. Mind you, I didn't quite have the stamina to do all it requires of the reader.

I am also reading Outlander after enjoying the show and having it pressed into my hand by the girlfriend. I have to agree, so far, so good. Don't know if it will inspire the same kind of devotion it has in the gf though.

I think it was Fromm who basically said that you can only love/hate others to the extent that you love/hate yourself

It's a perfectly fine comic. Neat premise, pulpy adventure. But I remember thinking when I first read it "This is almost certainly going to be optioned for tv/film development" That and Resident Alien. Also a fun comic, but another that feels designed to be sold to tv.
