Well, I may feel differently when I fall asleep under my desk at two am, but I feel pretty good about it now.

I had planned to watch some movies (and get some work done) this weekend, but instead got completely caught up in The Goldfinch. It took me a while to get into (it got very bleak for a while there), but then I read the last 200 pages in less than three days.

I just finished an amazing non-fiction book about the shipwreck of the Essex, the story that inspired Melville to write Moby Dick. "In the Heart of the Sea" by Nathaniel Philbrick. Fascinating from start to finish.

I still hold an irrational grudge against JJ Abrams for that jump in time and the Melissa George stuff. Didn't watch Lost because of it.

Hwaet! Archmage, you in your wisdom know that the lexical rules of Old and Middle English were fluid and varied. Maybe Sonia is embracing the spirit of that confusion with her syntax and spelling. I say more verse in general! Bring on the alliteration, the kenning, the thees and thous and the þ!

The music was phenomenal. That Lady Anne song and the spoils of Babylon theme were most entertaining bits of parody of the nights
