For some reason, I completely agree that London is really the best choice. Though my second choice would be Seattle, so maybe it really is only the weather that's informing me.

Sometimes I do that, but often it takes away from line readings. If I already know what the character is going to say while they're in the process of saying it, the punchline or reaction line is watered down.

This advertising really bothers me. I saw the original last weekend after knowing there was some TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE twist, thanks to the ads. But honestly, I saw it coming, in part because I was trying to figure out what it could be.

Sad as it is, I had never watched it until a couple months ago when, thanks to TVDWs constant praise of it, I decided to watch it on Netflix. So make fun if you will, but if you're young enough to have missed it the first time around (and to have Friends be the syndicator's choice), then this recommendation is

I think a lot of that is probably that Fawlty Towers is very of its time. The 70s-style hijinks seem hacky and dated to people used to 00s-style understated comedy.

Fans of Black Books should definitely also check out Green Wing, though I presume most here know that already.

People's opinion of Spaced directly informs my opinion about them. Once watched the first episode with a guy I was dating and he thought it was "fine" but "didn't really get it". I honestly couldn't really trust him after that.

Yeah, I'm a fan of SNL moving in the direction of Tim & Eric/Adult Swim weirdness. I get that an institution like SNL can't be completely boundary pushing, but given that comedy as a genre is moving that way, it's about time that it at least caught up.

He may be travel-sized. His strongest acting performance might have been as a rock. But he's so damn charming and such a good sport! Plus, his jawline could kill a man.

Second best. That Mooney/Bennett Dancing short wins.

Maybe it's my giant crush on Josh Hutcherson, but I loved this episode. Sure, Piers Morgan is always going to be a dud and I think Weekend Update generally drags, but a host with actual comedic timing and a few truly absurd sketches made this an A- for me.

Well, considering that the only show I used to "follow" (RIP) that you didn't include is Pulling, I'd say I agree wholeheartedly.

Anyone going to the party at the Way Station in Brooklyn (home of the Tardis bathroom)?

The How Did This Get Made on Jingle All the Way is a thing of beauty

I think part of why Summer Heights High works so well is that it isn't mean spirited. It takes characters who are in lots of way despicable and tries to really understand them. Mr. G believes he's entitled to the Gregson Performing Arts Center because he's got nothing else going in his life. Ja'ime is a bitch, true,

B. Sorry, guys. I want better.

I think it's an iPad/Tablet thing? But, yes, I agree.

Bumped up a grade simply because Paul Scheer in that wig looked a lot more like John Mulaney that I would have guessed.

Have I complimented you on your username before? I should have. It is top-notch.

What! I can't believe anyone thinks Entire History of You is a low point. I thought it was masterful. Agree with @avclub-edbd3116d41958037b0866b639f43ec3:disqus that the intimacy of it makes it a stronger piece overall.
