Totally. I said the same below (sorry, should have read it first). It's unsettling and I can't figure out if it's Janney's choice to play her that way (please no!) or the direction.

The most infuriating thing about this pilot (besides the strange audience laughter in moments that were not punchlines) was how palpably good the cast is and how the writing does them no justice. Matt Jones stole the show in his scenes, and he and Faris had excellent chemistry. Nate Corddry, poor guy, may have been

Same. I haven't even watched yet and I was tempted to rate it. But I didn't, because I have integrity. Unlike this show.

It's picture-in-picture for LIFE!

I think we have to wait until January…

Turns out Pop Pilgrims and my childhood have a lot of destinations in common. Hope you said hi to my parents.

This is pretty much what happened to me. I was completely underwhelmed by Brave.

That picture up there just makes me yearn for what might have been: Gandolfini as the President next to his Veep.

John Cho is the best. Why can't he land a compelling role in an interesting, lasting show?

So, as my new avatar might suggest, I'm less than objective. But I completely agree with this takedown of the review.

How DARE you.

Gosh, let's hope not.

I hereby add my assertion of both Iain Glen and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's hotness. I'm more attracted to Glen, probably because Coster-Waldau's handsomeness factor is so atmospherically high, that it would be like being attracted to a work of art or a dream—too impossible to be real.

Awesome, thanks! I'll definitely watch this, but I really think he's best in comedy. Basically, bring back Coupling, but with just Jack Davenport.

Man, I wish Jack Davenport were on my TV more often. But in something better than Smash.

I miss Tree Trunks! And who turns down pie in a time of crisis? Or a time of non-crisis?

And it was so useful! Plus, I imagine it must have helped page views, if only because it made it so easy to click on reviews of things I wouldn't have otherwise.

In my head, he never died, just left, Jack Kelly-style, for New Mexico.

Hands shaking as you bring each one to your lips, unblinkingly staring at your now-dark television screen.

This was the most Showalter-y 11 minutes that have ever been written. And I loved it!
