GoT wasn't eligible

I definitely think it would be difficult to not know about the Jon Snow twist beforehand, but I expect most people didn't know about the timeline twist of Westworld.

it fits better there than the comedy series category

True but people have to first be invested enough to seek out articles about the show. It's likely a very low percentage of viewers that actively seek out material related to the show to have these surprises spoiled.

The Batman in BvS is probably the craziest of all non-Adam West versions though…

Patton Oswalt Cobblepot?

I don't think it's reasonable to expect a ton of character development for minor characters in a large ensemble show within the first season.

The points brought forward in this article really only seem to apply for people who are deep into the communities discussing these shows.

Well the last minute audible to have a trailer company edit the film and the extremely short time spent on the script were likely the main reasons the film failed and those are easily avoidable

Well if no one had a gun the chimps wouldn't be able to arm themselves to overthrow the government. Everyone having a gun lets them murder the residents to use the guns to take over.

Did you first watch it a long time ago? Planet of the Apes unfortunately seems to fall in a time where genre films of it's ilk haven't aged particularly well so while people can often see that they were good for their time, they aren't necessarily good by today's standards.

Saying it peaked in Fast Five is misleading though. Sure it may be the best of the series, but 6, 7, and 8 are all better than 1, 2, 3, and 4

strange that you can't get the love yet think the one that is essentially the blueprint to the next 3 was awesome.

Oh maybe me not hearing about that was part of the reason I didn't buy that he was Ares.

I don't know what "original twist" you are referring to, although if it's that Diana was the weapon all along, that was also obvious once the dying amazonian general tried telling her something related to the "weapon".

If anything his "glowing when he inhales powder" and getting strength from it proved he wasn't Ares, since a god that killed all of the other gods would be assumed to be far more powerful than that already. He also didn't fight her on equal footing, he lasted about 30 seconds against her without even hurting her.

That's the same conclusion she comes to until you start seeing the Germans and British hugging immediately after Ares was defeated as if to completely undercut the point they just made

I'm genuinely blown away that people didn't see that twist coming. You people have seen movies before right?

They absolutely botched the twist in my opinion.
There was never anything in the film actually suggesting that the original general was Ares, just Wonder Woman randomly making that assumption, and the film only introduced one other character who it could possibly be.

To be fair, she thought she was going to come down and save the World, then despite killing Ares there was a whole other World War within 20 years with many other wars as well which could dishearten someone
