At the very least they have until fairly recently and their flawed quote system hasn't caught up yet.

Yeah this is likely true. I suspect Gadot will be near the top when Wonder Woman 2 comes out at least.

Wasn't this a recent development for blockbusters? There does seem to be a recent switch to female leads which could be a response to this, but they won't have as high a quote yet since they wouldn't have helmed many other blockbusters before that

True although Gal Gadot wasn't established enough to have a reasonable quote yet. I'd be surprised if Emma Watson didn't make much more than her co-star though.

I assume he is referring to Star Wars

I agree, but that seems to be the mindset at least, and I assume they have numbers to back it up.

This article is a gross oversimplification. Blockbuster films generally have a predominantly male cast to pander to their majority male audience, which in turn contributes to this gap.

I'm not sure what show you've been watching if you think they humanize their most despicable characters. The big bads Joffrey, Ramsey, Euron, and Cersei are about as evil as one dimensionally evil as a character can get.

As a white person, maybe you aren't actually qualified to talk about how black people should feel about the subject

Avclub hasn't told him how to feel about those yet.

Where was this outcry when The Handmaid's Tale and The Man in the High Castle was being made? It seems like people are arbitrarily choosing to bash this show while giving a pass to other similar concepts.

Wait what? Hollywood is a conservative place?

what does anything you just said have to do with this television show?

I think the second half of season 3 was fine. I actually stopped watching for a while after the first couple episodes though since it seemed to have become an artsy fartsy circle jerk

doesn't the fact that it's a romance film that's also a special effects extravaganza make it not cliche?

Have you considered that those junior-high school boys thought people would question their masculinity if they admitted to liking it since that type of film is generally seen as more of a chick flick? That is the age range where they would have the mindset of girly films being "icky"

Strange to say you haven't seen it then suggest that you can critically evaluate it

I don't understand how people somehow think not seeing something is a sort of accomplishment to brag about.

It seems like most people don't even think the original Terminator was his best Terminator film.

Is there a reason you swore to never watch it?
