    Great Job!

I 100% believe him when he says it was meant to be a b-movie. There are too many bizarre scenes and acting choices for it too be anything but, except that the finished film exists in a no-mans-land between trash and wannabe prestige where it's way too silly to be taken seriously and too self-serious and lacking in

I've seen it everywhere on buses and in the subways, and yet the combination of that boring name and poster image still make me wonder "Is this an actual movie??"

Nah, Hard Boiled is too balletic in comparison. Bad Boys II is made by a person who thinks in explosions.

Gilligan is sweet and humble almost to the point of ridiculousness. Unlike 99% of artists, hearing him speak actually makes me appreciate his art *more*.

    Yes. Veena Sud too.

"And pay Vince Gilligan as much money as he wants to write and direct them."

Schitt's Creek?! Man, imagine how sore the producers will be when they realise what that sounds like.

He also has some advice for other people doing reboots, noting that it “feels like a mistake” to make something that is “is not moving forward, not introducing anything that’s relevant,” and “not creating a new mythology or AN EXTENSION OF IT.”

You're being overly literal, he's saying that people wouldn't be salivating over the idea of new adventures featuring these characters (yes, if they survived obviously).

The other films at least make you fall in love with those one-dimensional characters. This one didn't.

    We can only Hope.

I imagine they're trying to set themselves apart from other similar-looking slow-burn horrors like The Witch and It Follows.

It's alright. Heavy on atmosphere and light on story and scares.

    God I hate minorities!

Just like Sutter to basically tell people that his script wasn't accepted because it was too AWESOME.

Yes, I figured this would be the subtitles on some pirated copy found in China, but it's not. The article does nothing to explain what this even is.

"Now the Spawn soundtrack? THAT'S memorable!"
    - John Williams

And apparently half the people who've seen Kazaam.

Based on this article I gave the first episode of "Take My Wife" a try. It confirmed my belief that 90% of the current indie comedy scene is the absolute worst. Seems to me that the problems with Seeso, Crackle et al is that they go beyond being niche to having almost zero real quality control.
