    Mmmmm Ventimiglia Alfredo.

You know, the internet is an amazing thing. It's revolutionised the modern world, democratised knowledge and opened up infinite new avenues of communication. It's made our lives immensely convenient. I'd also give it back in a nanosecond if it meant I'd never have to see another fan film ever again.

I have never found that Parker and Stone don't take a stance. I'm not even sure where this idea that they stand for nothing comes from. They might criticise both sides because people are self-serving and will often twist even positive ideology, but as far as the issues go they'll generally take a very strong stance.

If this is *less* accessible than Haneke's other films I can't even imagine what it must be like.

The series name is a pun on a famous medical text book

No, it was the best episode the show has ever done. That is an incontrovertible, scientifically provable fact, and if you disagree then you might as well be arguing that gravity doesn't exist. But it does. Gravity does exist!

It shows how desperate the series is for decent characters when their idea for generating exciting drama is "lets create a cliffhanger revolving around the world's most boring person"

    Haha classic Noel.

And that's why they're called Ew.

I think it's his choice to not make something in the US. His guerrilla style filmmaking probably wouldn't work too well with American studios.

IS Glenn great, Alex? IS HE?!

"That being said, I'm not sure what the point of this piece really was. Two well made horror movies with original ideas being released in a two year span doesn't really indicate any type of "new wave""

Yup The Canal is amazing. Very much a throwback but incredibly tense.

Saw The Tunnel the other day. It's scary, but I don't think there's enough meat on its bones to truly be considered a classic.

No, he just didn't direct the entirety of the best part. Second unit is a big component of scenes like that, and it does stand to reason that if Boyle specifically came on board to direct on the opening scene they'd give him some major setups to do, not just a couple of cutaways or whatever. So I'm pretty certain at

For pure scares alone, I'd take [REC]2 over anything on that list apart maybe from The Descent.

Not to mention the obvious anti-found footage bias. The majority of them might be ass, but [REC] and [REC]2 are superior to about 90% of what's on that list.

Literally every article I see about something that has feminist overtones (Fury Road, the Supergirl series, Wonder Woman movie etc.) features a bunch of commenters patting themselves on the back about how this will infuriate those awful MRA's. People appear to love them some cartoon villainy.

Some of my best mothers are women!

Kind of a genius move. This way any time someone complains you get to call him sexist.
