Does it come with a little jar of raspberry honey mustard that I'll try once then stick in the back of the pantry for three years?

They're from the UK, it's Adam Clay142.857Stone

Aye, Larry's boy? Good on him for making something of himself.

Because it's brittle and smells weird?

Consent can be a thorny issue, so let me make this totally clear, right now and in public: anybody who wants to shove pretzel crackers and cheese into my mouth can do so at any time.

The line about "he and the rest of the Connick Jr.s" was when I finally lost it.

I had serious issues with the ending of Ruby Sparks. The rest of the movie has no trouble honestly dissecting the Manic Pixie Dream Girl trope, and painting it's protagonist as an incredible douchebag. It even climaxes in a moment that despite having no sexual contact, genuinely felt like rape. And then in the last

And they're… they're, like, cool with you guys? I heard they're um, kinda conservative.

"I can't wait to slip into a Mary Jane" - Spider-Shoe-Man

Can we fit Schneider in there as an offensive stereotype migrant worker?

But… but isn't the Big Red Cheese just named Shazam now?

Oh, I didn't even know there was some sort of justification. I thought it was just "Well, we used to have a Captain Marvel, and now we don't. Let's just name this character Captain Marvel."

There's a really good, snarky sci-fi story to be written about using time travel to bring young, idealistic versions of beloved directors into the present to direct soulless corporate blockbusters.

If you're interested in Deconnick I'd also recommend Avengers Assemble. It's a super fun, not-really-bogged-down-in-what-else-is-happening-in-the-Marvel-universe book. It was sadly cancelled a little while back, but it's great to read if you want something that won't have you constantly scrambling to Wikipedia to

You weren't really missing much by not reading Ms. Marvel, she literally just existed to fill out a costume. Which is why people are so excited about the direction things have gone in recently, with Carol Danvers being treated more seriously.

Oh, Azzarello's run was wonderful. I was just throwing shade at the current (Upcoming, maybe? I'm not totally caught up) run by Meredith and David Finch.

(Warning: tons of comics bullshit you might not care about)

See, if they just made a damn movie out of Nextwave, a team consisting of Monica Rambeau, two other women, a robot, and a token scruffy white guy, everyone's problems would be solved.

Wonder Woman has a magic lasso that compels anyone bound by it to tell the truth. The potential for actual sexposition is off the charts.

I think it's telling that Wonder Woman is being drawn by David Finch, a man who "doesn't think she's a feminist hero" while Captain Marvel is being written by Kelly Sue Deconnick, possibly the most hardcore feminist (and kickass woman) working in mainstream super hero comics.
