Actually, that was Sammy Hagar.

He loved Burn Notice and 2 Broke Girls, had issues with every good episode of The Good Guys, and had all sorts of nitpicky issues with Raising Hope and Archer. So, I really hated it when he wrote seventy percent of the TV Club reviews. I disagreed with him so often I started assuming I would love anything he gave a

Not enough taekwondo?

Based on extensive research in the form of obsessively watching reruns on FXX, I can safely say that every season has episodes that still make me laugh even though I've seen them 37 times and episodes that don't really work for me any more (i.e., "Sister City" or the one with Andy Samberg as a park ranger where Jerry

Based on VanDerWerff's tastes, the second season might be pretty good.

People around here spent three years complaining about how the show jumped the shark when Leslie ran for city council and talking about how they hated everything except seasons two and three. At some point, the mature response would have been to stop complaining about how the show allegedly only had a handful of good

Probably. There is plenty of evidence of that on the TV threads around here. if someone spends two or three years coming here every week to complain about how much a show sucks now… maybe they should consider not watching the show any more? I'm looking at you, everyone who wasted a lot of time complaining about how

Kind of? House's formula drove me crazy, so I would have to tap out at some point when my little brother watched the marathons on USA. Doctor Who offers more variety in terms of plot, so it makes it easier for me to get through another "a bunch of people die on a space ship before the Doctor figures out how to stop

John from Cincinnati, Top Gear seasons three and four, Fred Claus (full of weird plot holes and I have no idea why Fred was still alive in the 21st century), the Ip Man movies starring Donnie Yen

I finally got over myself this year and got caught up on New Who. As a die-hard fan of Tom Baker and Sylvester McCoy, Eccleston's version just didn't work for me so I didn't really give the show a chance. Having watched everything from the new series, I can safely say the following:

I wouldn't recommend Face the Raven personally, but the show is usually entertaining. I think one of the goals was to make Capaldi as different from Matt Smith as possible. So, if you had issues with his Doctor you might prefer the sarcastic Scotsman version.

The stories aren't very good, but Peter Capaldi gets to be funny and play electric guitar and stuff. So, they're usually worth watching just for him.

Be grateful you're not part of my family. Minimal fighting over stuff not really worth stealing = what's the freaking point?

That is probably what my family's Christmas Eve party is going to be like for me.

This thread inspired me to get some things off my chest:

So, my friend is in trouble because he hates Schumer's Old Navy commercials?

Barsanti is the Nickelback of Newswire writers, so he better hope we can still make fun of someone else.

"Never made it as a wise man…"

As a priest of the temple of Syrinx, I find this offensive for religious reasons.

If you play Clumsy three times in a row, I'll confess to being a member of Islamic State or whatever it takes to get that crap to stop. That guy's voice makes me want to commit suicide so I don't have to hear it any more.
