He’s just such a pro. The conversations on his show just feel that bit more natural than any of the big US chat shows. And the fawning over how amazing his guest's latest project is feels a bit less annoying for some reason.

I think for PTSD here you can substitute “negative memory”. The same way people talk about having OCD when they really mean they like to be neat. Probably would be pretty annoying to read if you actually had PTSD.

My most old-man-shouts-at-cloud opinion is that stamding ovasions have been completely devalued in the last decade or so. It used to be a spontaneous thing where an audience would rise to appreciate something really special. Now that it's expected, it's meaningless
That and serenading Obama with "To sir, with love" were both absolutely mortifying.
