For more money you can do what I did and pick up a like-new Vantage with a proper manual transmission. It's definitely not a nice, smooth V12 GT car, but it's a fun sports car that is infinitely more rare than the 911's everyone else has!

I had an 01 Civic LX sedan for a long time. Put a front strut tower brace and some high performance tires on it and it handles really well. Still understeers, but it was an excellent car for high school and college.
However, the car don't have nearly as much room as my '96 cavalier did with the seats folded flat.

Apparently all they can do today is complain.

If Elio can give me a manual transmission, 60+ mpg, and a drive that's somewhat fun in this price range, I'm interested. Give me an experience that's more Polaris Slingshot than Prius, and I could see this being my commuter car.

Everyone seems to also be assuming the engine will be in the center line of the car. It may be offset, leaving an asymmetrical car. That is a bit far fetched, but possible.

I doubt they would dare run any derivative of the VR38DETT. With tuners running into reliability issues with the aluminum block, and it being quite large, I don't see how it makes sense in this kind of package. I would expect a similar engine and drivetrain to the next GT-R, whatever that may be. Definitely not the

These cars are radically different from CanAm and GT cars, though. The airflow through and around the body is completely different. Cooling may or may not be an issue. It really depends on every factor of how they place every component and the body work.

Years ago I would have been a naysayer, just as I was when Porsche built their first SUV, but I don't care anymore. Let Nissan try something completely radical, if for no other reason than to push technology forward. This, like the GT-R program before it, is Nissan's moon mission. They have incredible engineering

Exactly what I was thinking. If they were all radically different they wouldn't be as competitive. Some GT series have testing and literally penalize fast cars to keep the playing field more level. In the LMP specs, the cars are held to tighter rules, and therefore are going to be very similar.

I have the same thing. Don't have it up yet as I need to wait a year or two to build a new garage, but I can't wait to get this back out.

There's never a good reason to drive like this. It's a shame the car was punished for the driver's stupidity. Hopefully the insurance companies and law enforcement give him hell.

I'm sorry, but all exotic cars. They are expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, and require specific knowledge of the vehicle that is hard to come by. Whether it's a classic Daytona or a modern 12C, these cars cost a lot more than the fun you get out of them.

I'm biased, but I agree. This concept is gorgeous, but the Vantage is just perfectly proportioned.

I bought a '12 Subaru Impreza for a DD because it's the perfect AWD compact car. Manual, AWD wagon. I couldn't get it in brown but it's darn close to the perfect DD.

Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe replica. Think about it, that car spent it's brief career terrorizing Enzo. Irony aside, it would be an incredible car!

My Impreza is an Impreza wagon.

All of the reviews are treating it like the futuristic car it is, but they seem to be missing the less exciting traditional stuff. Please give us some details on what it's really like to live with; getting in/out, rear seat space, visibility, interior/exterior light quality, comfort, cup holders, smell, NVH, storage

Thank you. MOAR pics since you like it:

Not all of us are ignorant cowboys. I'm doing you proud, waving a big Union Jack where my V8 Vantage parks (previously the spot of a Lotus Elise.)

I've had other cars that only attracted men, but you'd be amazed at how many women approach you when you drive a Vantage. It's crazy. Most people have no idea what it is, but so many ask. This would be a great car for young, single men.
