Well yes, that's why, but this is more like, the royal why, y'know?

He basically pulled several of my favorite sports bloggy types into one place (Barnwell, Lowe, Down Goes Brown, etc). And some really good longform stuff too. So I've thoroughly enjoyed Grantland. While he's obviously still a Boston homer, and the schtick is old, I still enjoy his basketball stuff, and I'm rather glad

& Lowe and Greenwald.

i think his podcasts surpassed his writing.

"We'll look at someone's Twitter feed and see what's on there, and if it's somebody who's starting fights, I don't want to hire that person."

For me, Barnwell, not Simmons, makes Grantland.

If there's any complaint I have about Simmons it's that via volume and longevity, his schtick just got old, and others took it's best parts and made better versions of it. And I don't particularly begrudge him for that.

The Goat is such a better name

Simmons is hands down the most indispensable employee that ESPN has.

This may be an unpopular opinion in these parts, but I still like Simmons, I enjoy his podcasts and ever his columns when he still bothers writing them.

4) David Stern hates him.

We all can poke a little fun, but Grantland really does have some people doing excellent work there (and getting paid for it, which is sadly notable still on the web).

It's Perd Hapley.

I guess they all look alike to you guys.

Jesus. If this many people show for Sterling/Silver, imagine who'd be there for a more precious metal?

Yes.

Bomani Jones- the voice of the 35 and under NBA fan, and actually says the things that need to be said. Love the guy.

The article is bad and the headline is worse. That's my POV, ofc.

Gotta love them Kotaku click bait headlines.
