While only a couple of New York City schools specifically ban leggings, a lot of them have dress codes which prohibit short shorts, bare midriffs, tube tops, muscle shirts, baggy pants, exposed underwear, gang wear and tees with certain messages because they're distractions.

This sounds like a standard dress code to me, not unlike those used by NYC Schools.

Maybe if all took a nap, there would be less hate. Sweet dreams.

I didn't know that we were in an argument and was just trying to extend the joke. Of course some dude the other day was telling me how easy it is to be misinterpreted, especially when people only know part of a story and have feelings about those they don't know. He was telling me about something that happened at a

We should just agree to disagree. Don't ya think?

I don't hate anyone.

As I put in my email to Tech, what happened here is pretty much the direct opposite to what happened two weeks ago, including where the notification was sent.

Because I'm curious, it was discovered a couple of weeks ago that there's a "discuss" button between an introduction and re-topped post, which as far as anyone can tell, the comment goes into the ether unless the comments are accessed directly with a permalink.

CBS.com is promoting a live chat with the cast during the East Coast broadcast of tonight's episode.

It's probably a little late for President Obama to do anything and it most likely wouldn't help Democrats in the short term in Florida. Of course miracles can happen and there's always a chance for a game-changer, but realistically, I'd say it's something the next president might do.

The person answering the 800 number could be answering the phones for dozens, maybe hundreds of companies, perhaps there are modeling "schools" among them or maybe they were just making small talk until they brought the screen up.

I haven't seen the ad, but from the description it totally sounds like the old Player's Club ads to me.

Kudos for the creative way of thinking about it and when you put it like that, it doesn't sound as bad, but it would still be overstating the time I devote to accessing cash each month and it doesn't change the findings of the study.

I currently live in a small city near the Mississippi River, but I've lived all over the country. Yes, in a large metropolitan area like New York, Charlotte or Albuquerque, a person might have to think where an ATM is located near where they're going and they might have to go a couple of blocks out of their way, but

I had to question the 5.6 hour figure for finding an ATM because I'm sure like most people, I know where my bank's ATMs are located. So unless I'm traveling, they're not hard to find and when I'm traveling I don't look for them because most chain stores will give you cash back on debit card purchases, which eliminates

As I footnoted in a comment elsewhere, the thing about his brother and the police chief checks out to be true, but I didn't find where Casino had a hand in bringing Lovett down. Do you have any local insight or was it just karma that got the chief and the "innocent victims" bit should be the focus of the ad?

Agreed, but the OP said they had no income other than some interest, dividends or something on "a few thousand dollars", so they don't likely owe and may even qualify for a credit.

I'm not the one who made the original suggestion, but I believe their point was that if you don't owe any taxes and/or if a refund is due to you, there are no penalties and as you said in your other comment, the IRS isn't going to come after someone unless they likely owe.

You do realize that every time a newspaper or a blog site reports on something, they're not endorsing the idea or saying that they'll go along with it? I especially can't see how anyone would have thought that from Kate's post about their request.

I really don't understand the animosity. I'm a fan of Ms. Tubman's. I remember that I did a report on her in school. I've been to several Underground Railroad sites and I've toured her home. If I were interested in screenwriting at this stage in my life, something I've thought about doing in the past and why I own a
