We're doing the extra big meal tomorrow evening, so I'll be helping out in the kitchen some, but my office is right next to it and I have a lot of work to do. Looking at the Gawker sites and posting to the communities is my way of short term procrastinating or quickly goofing-off.

While there's certainly nothing wrong with giving people a place to vent about having to work on Thanksgiving, I trust either Lacey or Taylor will be blogging on Gawker; Rebecca or Doug will be posting to Jezebel; Maybe Eric will be on Gizmodo and Laura at io9?

Another extension of our share anything at any moment culture are opinions about what other people do. In the past, we just kept them to ourselves or maybe shared our judginess with friends or family, but now in the rush to generate an unprecedented amount of content, a person's thoughts can be instantly distributed

I was wondering why "one of the greatest GIFs ever" didn't have any naked girls. Somebody's trying to water down the term.

I'd say GossipCop got trolled.

The word "racist" implies intent or that she thinks differently or less of another based upon the color of their skin. Some may find the video offensive, but to call it "racist", they would be saying Allen holds those beliefs.

Like your posts, it sounds like fun. Enjoy.

Add me to those saying "job well done".

I also called it "The Jennifer Love Hewitt Handjob Show" and am sorry to see it go. I'll guess we'll just never know if "The Rub" survives, whether her co-workers stay a couple or what happens with the task force. Does Louboutin escape unscathed?

I'm not going to link to them here, but the self-promoter who pimped them out didn't blur their info initially and neither did Gawker and some other sites. (Though I now see the self-promoter has gone back and blurred his originals, while the Gawker mirrors are unchanged)

The fellow who created the Tumblr is full of shit. He pimped out a bunch of underage kids, some who appear to as young as ten without their knowledge for his own self-promotion and the furtherance of his career.

I'm not going to link because unlike Gawker and most other sites, Jezebel blurred their contact info, but according to her Twitter, she got her braces off yesterday and today she is confused because people keep tweeting at her about her funeral tweet.

The popularity of a search term may be a factor and starting a search with "women cannot" would naturally produce results placing limits upon women, but not even Google claims they're the most popular searches. In fact, they say your results could be unique.

I agree, though the idea of "minor" has to be pretty ill-defined. For example, Mary Tyler Moore gave birth to Rhoda, Phyllis and Lou Grant, all of which were "minor" because they weren't Mary Tyler Moore. Also, a big shift in time could be another workaround, or at least I'd say it did the trick with Trapper John MD.

I use the GasBuddy sites pretty much every time I go anywhere. Not only do I plan out long trips, but because gas is high here by the house, I'll look for the sweet spot in prices, even if we're going a couple of hours up the road.

I've been watching The L Word lately and he was the guy in Season 2.

Playboy doesn't own the URL. I don't know who does, but instead of pointing toward the Playboy Corporation, the site's registration info is hidden behind a privacy screen. The Victoria Secret parody site used the same service and also the same, both site's copyright notices point toward a Harvard Law explanation of

Playboy was a big part of the sexual revolution, which helped women gain autonomy over their bodies. Sure it's had its flaws, but without Hefner and Playboy pushing at the social norms, I don't know where we would be.

Is there video of this? Maybe it's a frog, but it looks to me like a bug on the lens.

I also thinks it's an unusual choice for a wedding announcement, but it also has to be said that I don't think the procedure is a matter of public record. Rather than the writer asking permission, the couple had to tell them the story and by doing so, they put it on the record.
