It's been years and I've never timed one, but I'd estimate that most of my acid trips have lasted six to eight hours and I always tried to do it when I had at least twelve. Though it only effects me and my subset of Haven viewers, I watch the show on Hulu with a 30-day delay because if I were to miss one on TV, I'd have to wait thirty days for the next, so it's easier to start there.
