I've always thought those "ask questions about celebrities" letters were planted by publicists. It just always seemed remarkable, how many of them had something (often minor) to promote.
I'm on the Fox/Hulu eight-day delay, so please pardon me for reading only the first couple of paragraphs, then scanning the rest, but by the time I get back to these recaps, everybody's gone.
...but she's the one who is going to save the world. They imply it in the opening. Even if she's not the one who flips the switch, her quest "lights the way", plus there was the whole "Charlie can save you" stuff from a few weeks ago.
I'm on the Fox/Hulu eight-day delay and then the storm got in the way, so it took a little extra time to get back to this post.
Add me to the chorus. Welcome home!

The kid was still in diapers when he learned to push Daddy's buttons... good luck.
Whenever I'm in a group of people going to the same place, who'd like to arrive at the same time, we often travel in a caravan.
I was just going to ask if anyone has an opinion about Beauty & the Beast. I probably watched most of the old Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton vehicle and I can say the same about Bill Bixby in The Incredible Hulk, but this show looks more smoldering than either of them and that doesn't really interest me.
I wasn't there, but the Deadline blogger says that while being fed lines which he found offensive — which I interpret as the lines being new, not on the prior script — he complained and among the things that he said was "what's next...". Today that's being turned into "Chevy Chase is racist" and I didn't think it fair.
I don't know their ratings and haven't watched more than a few minutes, but are the CMT shows with "redneck" in the title (Redneck Island, Redneck Rehab and My Big Redneck Vacation) not listed because on they're in on the joke?
Actually it was Chevy in the job interview sketch with Pryor, I remember it well and have linked the video and transcript from other comments.
While it's not nearly the same thing, John Amos and Esther Rolle were so vocal in their opposition to the "JJ" character on Good Times and the show's cartoonish scripts that producers fired Amos and killed-off his character, while Rolle kept up her drumbeat and chose not to re-up at the end of her contract.
I just linked this Hulu video and transcript of an old Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase skit from another comment.
I wonder what the modern interpretation of intent would be for this old SNL skit, which features Chevy and Richard Pryor.( Hulu video, transcript) Who is the "racist"? Someone has to be because Chevy used the word.
Of course she's entitled to her feelings, whether or not they're reflective of an event, but we really don't know how she feels. All that was reported yesterday is that she tweeted something rather vague, which E! said "may be a related" and some blogs decided that was the proper interpretation of her thoughts.
The word has been losing its meaning for years.
In the past, the word has been used for effect, as a way to draw attention to a point. I'd say in this case it would have worked, except there's a handful of Community fans in the blogosphere, who have decided Chevy's persona non grata because they don't like his notes on the show.
As pretty much everyone said in response to yesterday's "Dirt Bag", Chevy used hyperbolic language to take a stand against racism. He was complaining about the racist extremes the screenwriters have taken his character and obviously he has reason to complain because not only is it a questionable direction for an 8pm…
