Sales at Chick-fil-A rose 13% last year and they're within half a billion of KFC's.

If you paid the rate, the room was market-priced.

To be fair, the Wired blog from which it was aggregated got the story wrong, first.

With all due respect, I don't think we're arguing semantics because that was pretty much the point of my original comment. I was simply stating that the young men haven't been charged with rape and it's not one of the crimes to which they pled.

The first paragraph of the third page says that the young men were originally charged with "first-degree sexual abuse" and "voyeurism", a felony and a misdemeanor, which are the crimes to which they pled. The Courier-Journal article then implies that the "bargain" was in regards to punishment — though, sentencing

I don't know any more about this case than what can be gleaned from the post and link, but the boys weren't charged with or convicted of rape. Of course, any abuse or non-consensual contact is unacceptable, but it looks from the story that she probably passed out and her abusers undressed her, all or in part. Then,

After a cursory read of his Wikipedia entry, I get the connection between the author and a labyrinth of books and I'd certainly be interested in why the artists chose to honor Borges. I'd also suggest that if among their goals is raising awareness, they may want to do a better job explaining whose fingerprint they're

It's not Doctor Who related, but as I was watching the summer season premiere of Covert Affairs the other night on Hulu, I almost messed myself when I realized that the bad guy (who's apparently getting a multi-episode arc) is "Jeff".

How many Weiner-hating, dickpic-shaming Republicans vote for Mayor of New York?

Looks interesting, but at $2.99 from both Amazon and YouTube, I'll wait for cable.

The Blind Gossip post was dated two years ago. I don't frequent their site, but I'm not seeing anything to indicate that they gave it rebirth. Instead, it looks others point toward it.

Because the BlindGossip post is dated August 2010, the chip has been in her pocket for a couple of years and it wouldn't contradict the five-year theory. She just had to wait.

Politically, it'd be one hell of a gamble. Clinton's selection of Gore was to help him in the South and in theory, two New Englanders could chip away at the Democrat's stronghold on the Northeast, but it's not going to go him any good with the Tea Party wing. To shore them, he's going to need somebody like Christie or

The station is pretty striking as you approach in Streetview and the additional photos under your link makes it look wonderful. Someday visiting has been added to my long list of things to do.

Because they were in a National Park, the Park Service would be the primary agency.

Yikes! For some reason the embed's not working and I just got it in under the wire, so here's a link to video of Hillary's famous "baking cookies" comments, via a YouTube search.

Though it didn't work out for him, I remember when people realized (or it was publicized) that Howard Dean's wife, Dr. Judith Steinberg Dean M.D., was rarely joining him on the campaign trail and was telling reporters that she'd likely keep practicing, if he was elected.

I don't know if you're making a joke, but if not... you click.

The sketch from the Atlanta Medical Journal really puts it in perspective.
