Really couldn’t care less about handling in an SUV. The suspension did a good job of soaking up bumps.

This or a Q7? I really like the interior and exterior styling of the Q7 and the BMW doesn’t look too great. Have you driven a Q7? If so, how does it compare?

Cool. I’ve mostly been on the third party parts side of the business, focused on manufacturing and redistribution - but from a finance perspective. Essentially understanding the roi and ebit impact for any given decision (p&l top to bottom - gross, g2n, cos, opex, you name it).

Im pretty sure his background is in CRM as well, and not operations in terms of development or manufacturing. But his points are still valid

Trying to clarify what you mean by “dealer ops management,” as ops is a very very broad term that may not translate to operational manufacturing and development costs and procedures. Do you have an engineering or operations education? Or is your background more focused on CRM stuff?

I don’t know how much margin was actually left for better interior materials. The engine is a very over built and expensive mill - even compared to the Z06 engine. There’s also a lot of carbon fiber in there that may have driven up the cost.

I remember seeing an LS1 swapped WRX years ago (about 7 years I think). That was silly, but this is even more silly. The chassis is acceptable in part because of the AWD system. Without that, it might as well be an E46 - though I don’t know if it is even that good.

Yes, but you can make considerably more power with an L48 just by sneezing on it. The same can't be said of the dd

I guess I’ll be that guy. The 6.2l Detroit diesel is not a great engine and it makes zero sense for this car.

You are mistaken about LS and LT engines. All displacement configurations are over square:

Looked at the comments to find this video. Wasn’t disappointed

I’ve driven one and it was great. But... and this is a big but... you can do better. It feels somewhat big for a track focused car and the engine drinks oil.

Pretty much. He wasn't as faithful to his wife as he was famously known for, which is lame. But at least he didn't rape or assault anybody.

Great, another terrible person to add to the steve mcqueen list. Dean was likely mentally I’ll though, so there’s at least an explanation for his violent outbursts and assaulting people.

Well, Steve McQueen was a terrible person, so I’m not sure he would qualify as my favorite anything.

The last gen is still surprisingly expensive. Think nearly MSRP still.

These are super tempting. I wouldn't mind a 3rd gen coupe or a 3rd gen vert with a hardtop.

2009 ZR1. I’ll take mine in white. Would only take a C7 ZR1 over one of these. Too bad they’re still up there in price.

A lot of people who tow regularly have zero interest in any oe brake controller. I wouldn’t trust one with my setup. Most oe setups don’t even display the voltage being applied to the brakes or include a provision to apply more voltage in an emergency situation.

The integrated brake controls aren't great. You're better off getting a decent tekonsha
