I despise Targa tops.

That’s cool. I like to keep both hands on the wheel when I drive. Nice to be able to do that instead of moving my hand off the wheel and glancing quickly to the right to change the track or volume.

I use steering wheel controls in my car (not a BRZ) all of the time. Volume, track, voice command, you name it.

Even when I lived in N.Y., it would have taken a lot more than a big car show to go to Newark.

Would have turned into a bigger shit show if the car had come down on his legs and crushed them. I see the jackstand but it isn’t worth it to me to keep your legs under a car while pulling and pushing suspension pieces for no reason other than comfort.

Mentions off road capability and proceeds to recommend a WK2. Sure, they aren’t terrible off road bit they aren’t exactly substantially better than a crummy pursuit Tahoe

AWD, subtle, quick, decent usability and capacity. Either something like a Q50 Red Sport awd or a c43 Amg 4matic should work

Time out... the RLX used the J35Y4 and will never ever make 450hp with just a “chip.” Im telling you this for your own ettification. And a properly set up turbo is going to likely cost about $10k at the end of the day.

What?? The Type R doesn’t have an oil temp or pressure gauge? Neither does my current car, but it isn’t track focused like this one.

I drove a 14 year old GM product with an old-school T-56 and never once ever had a single gear grind incident - not even in below freezing weather on cold start up.

I didn’t think I would like the keyless stuff and not having a place to put my keys, but I love it. I never have to remove my keys from my pocket or ever touch them for that matter. Door unlocks automatically when I touch the handle, keyless start, and a touch of a button on the handle after exiting locks all of the

Good point. The 370Z Nismo’s price is insane.

I think there is at least some portion of the market who would have purchased a 911 Turbo is the GT-R had never been brought to the US (looking at the buyers between 30 and 40 years old).

That isn’t what the GT-R was all about though. Sad to see this if that’s what the Nismo has turned into.

I see the GT-R as a pretty legitimate alternative to the 911 Turbo, but I can’t understand how Nissan justifies charging $65K more than the base and $45K more than the Track Edition for the Nismo.

Got to see the crashes up close, which was interesting. No shots of the crashes because I spent most of my time shielding myself from the dust and debris.

Very interesting. I saw that article on Speedhunters back in August.

I had the displeasure of driving a Viper. I could never own one. Hot, rough, claustrophobic. Filled with creaks and rattles as the body flexes over every bump in the road. Just a nasty experience. The C5Z I bought instead of a viper was altogether nicer and easier to control and drive near the limit.

The Z is comparable to a current ecoboost mustang. The handling is actually pretty decent and it feels lighter and more nimble than the mustang.
