You have to admit, though, the rides suddenly accelerating without anybody flipping the switches is pretty exhilarating.
The luxurious, expensive stuff would take away from the original purpose of the Porsche Land theme park's original mission, but the astronomical profits would help pay for the powerful, fun rides that the park is all about.
I had the opposite problem in a rental Cobalt. I could not, for the life of me, get the key out of the ignition. After about 30 minutes, I was finally able to remove it. Of course, those 30 minutes came during finals week.

I starred this comment because 1) it is true and 2) I want all car manufacturers to see that it is starred comment (and therefore, a well-backed idea) and make a decision to implement gated shifters on all manuals because of it.
Exactly this. I've lost track of how many times I see a car listed as a manual, just to view the images and clearly see an automatic transmission.

Deep down, I know you are 100% right, but on a surface level I want every call manufacturer to read my comment and say "let's manual and diesel ALL the cars!" Which will never happen unless I move to Europe.
Can somebody explain to me why fewer and fewer cars are being sold with manual transmissions and diesels due to lack of popularity, yet BMW continues to unveil car after car that fits a niche nobody was asking for?
