Focus, Blue Steele edition

Fun cars. This one looks like it may be in decent shape given its proximity to the North Carolina coast and the salty, humid air of Wilmington, NC. Pay close attention to the body and frame behind the seats but in front of the rear wheels.

I was in Baton Rouge last week for a family emergency. Fast forward past the hanging out in a hospital for 3 days and people are starting to catch flights home to resume normal life. My father suggested I might want to check the gas gauge in my sister’s mini before the next trip to drop someone off at the airport.

It doesn’t matter if the car is truly rare and unique or just a sticker package. That camaro means something to her and her husband, who knows how hard they worked for it and how hard they work to take care of it. Would you be angry if a tech from any repair shop was racing your car around town? What about eating in

I can’t bring myself to sell mine. I’ve had it since 2006 and its happily carried dogs and mountain bikes around the country(stereotypical subaru owner here). It’s had minor bolt on’s a good tune since 2009. I just realized I need to update my pictures, because this is an old one, but it looks basically the same.

I think the overused saying, you get what you pay for applies here. In May of this year a friend (sumfoo1) and I lifted my 2005 Tundra 4 door with 106k miles ~ 2 inches. I’m not sure if the ride is better because we replaced all the worn out suspension bits(tie rods, ball joints, endlinks, new adjustable upper control

We recently sold a 1995 T-100 4wd with 185k on it for a ridiculous price according to all the commenters here. It was well maintained and well used but we needed something with 4 doors. I started looking for used tacomas with 100k miles or so and quickly realized the first generation tundras are not much bigger than

It’s spelled A. L. F. A, as in Anonima Lomarda Fabbrica Automobili.

He looks like Chinese Elon Musk!

yay 2015 mustang nose!

Came here for this and am not disappointed. Wife’s mini has 91 k on it and all the random stuff is falling apart; third brake light developed a short ($140), hood chrome trim piece had to be replaced because all the plastic dried out, hood badge replaced. I think it needs all the front suspension bushing replaced but

Apex getting their share of the “revenue"

I believe its mostly the major roads around here. Wife says she saw a couple on her way into raleigh on Us1 this am. I stayed off the hwy and didnt see a single cop this morning. The morrisville police officer asleep in his cruiser in our office parking lot doesnt count.

Cary cops are mostly in tahoes, explorers and taurses these days. There are a couple holdouts in crown vics still. Lots of random unmarkeds though; v6 accord sedan, mudered out 2013 track pack mustang gt, jeep cherokees. RPD has an unmarked c6 Z06 on the prowl for the next two weeks as well.

Yay NC drivers. I give them the 2 second rule because most wont react quickly enough to move over.

Oh i know ken well. I get all our brake stuff for my lgt and the wifes mini from him. He lives down the road from me also.

Torch, can i call you torch? I’m just down the road in Cary, NC and there was already a noticeable increase in police presence around town today. Each year they rename the campaign, I think they let the the 60 year old admins pick the names each year. Anyhow, There will be a cop on the old reedy creek bridge over I40

No, but now Honda guys can act like their dicks are bigger than tacoma guys with the “short” beds

Me too. My wife doesnt want any more fullsize fords but i want the full compliment of early 60’s galaxies. I’m still hoping to find a 61 Starry, though a 61 sunliner would be ok. And either a two or 4 door wagon. One day maybe.

I’ll interpret building a hot rod to mean, getting an old car back on the road with some small updates. Why yes I(we) have. My wife and I had been looking for a classic car for a while, specifically a full size Ford from the early 60’s, more specifically I wanted a ‘61 Starliner or 2 door Ranch Wagon(bet you’ve never
