I was just thinking the other day how few genre movies feel earnest anymore.

Normally it’s good to see a lot of queer representation, but maybe not in a list of “worsts.”

Oh, I liked it. It didn’t blow me away but it was definitely worth seeing. (Although at this point in my life I’m not always looking for maximum entertainment value, sometimes I just want something different or interesting.)

I saw American Fiction yesterday and there were, count ‘em, exactly five people in the theater. (I’d like to hear what you think of it!)
