As a mineralogist, I feel compelled to point out that adamantane is not a mineral. A mineral, by definition, is an inorganic naturally occurring crystalline solid. Adamantane is an organic crystalline compound (chemical formula C10H16) derived from petroleum, and is not found in its crystalline form naturally.
