There are sobriety groups that are completely areligious/atheistic. They are regional, and not generally overseen by a national or international group.

As human beings, they had choices to make. And while some of those choices are limited (in upbringing, etc.), the choice to either enter a school bus and threaten children and then shoot one, or to not was still made.
