I was wondering the same thing. Has Tesla dialed in the low traction throttle control properly. Is there a ‘snow’ setting? With only one gear, its hard to start in 2nd, when traction is limited.

Ya, and Nissan dealers want in on that sweet markup action! When the new Tacoma hits the streets with any volume, dealers will have to bring the Frontier back to reality.

You may be right there. It’ll be tough to sell $50K ICE Dakotas against $40K Ram Classics. If the Dakota is a plug in hybrid like the Ramcharger, then its no worry, as that’s a whole different market. I’m looking forward to a Plug in HEV truck.

The tooling was paid off long ago, and at $40K they’re likely still making $10 grand profit on every one.

A tenth of a second difference in every turn adds up to 15.4 seconds over an entire lap (154 turns on the Nordschleife). Driver skill and bravery are what will make the difference on the ‘Ring.

Early adopters shouldn’t get upset when prices on new technology drop. That’s the price you pay to be able to brag about your ‘revolutionary’ EV.

Yup. If this were about an ICE truck, it would be all roses for the truck.

Yes, let’s not forget those Honda racing motorcycles from the 60's with ridiculous number of gears...

I’m guessing that the approach to the crossing will be more heavily fortified, with chicanes added, on both sides, to prevent this from happening in the future.

I believe this is the median in question.

Interesting how the story that was posted immediately after the event ‘disappeared’ from Jalopnik after a few more facts came out.

And Jalopnik has also become a caricature of itself. The latest website updates make the site virtually unusable.
