He was nowhere near the lean angle limit for that corner, panicked, stood it up, and ended off the track. Leave the highway where it is and build platforms over the ‘ditch’ to provide new land above for the entire N-S stretch. The highway effectively becomes a tunnel, with way more new parkland on top than the current plan offers. Plus no pedestrian worries.
