If its purely for data collection and average weight, airport security should just put scales under the body scanner floors. People stand still long enough to get accurate weights in there.

But sports car means it can handle well on twisty roads at least.... ;)

I don’t understand why anyone would enjoy rolling coal, but I also don’t understand the support for heavy handed government intervention either. How many Jalopniks have tuned or ‘chipped’ their ECU for more power? I’m guessing those tunes aren’t EPA friendly either.

This car is offered at about 30% of its cost at the time. Sounds about right after 11 years. If this was a commonly available sedan, no dice. But its kinda hard to buy a new BMW wagon these days, so that increases appeal a bit.

That raises the question of how do you tow an autonomous car, if you don’t know it’s powered down properly? What happens if it reconnects/reboots and tries to move while its being towed?
