“When else have you seen an automaker include a picture that says “Our bed can’t even fit a standard mountain bike”? Hyundai clearly sees the Santa Cruz’s diminutive size as a positive:”
I hope it sells, if for no other reason than to justify alternative pickup truck designs.
Ridiculously extra dumb is the best kind of dumb.
That is an exotic looking bike. A little busy, but still lovely. I think this middleweight sport-touring bike is the optimum for me. But, I just got an Africa Twin, cause all my buddies have off-road capable ADV bikes. I don’t want to be left behind when the road turns rougher.
Umm, you better show your work. Your numbers are off by a magnitude of 1000.
It’s a shame that Chevy has no other car in their lineup worthy of 275Hp Turbo-4. Time for rebirth of a BRZ/Veloster/Civic TypeR fighting Monza.
Thankfully the Thunderbird was within the first 5 slides, otherwise I may have given up.
Just what I was thinking. Must have been a slow news day. A few photos from the ground would’ve saved a whole bunch of AV fuel and been just as useful.
I guess Hyundai has enough cash to throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks.
You cynical bastard.
Bingo. I’d buy a cab-over type pickup. Honda, with all their clever bed storage devices missed the boat on the extendable bed. If any truck needs it, its the Ridgeline. Particularly since Honda makes motorcycles. All they need is to get a 5' bed up to 7' enclosed for a dirtbike.
Can you buy a or even order a Rivian anywhere yet? I saw them on ‘The Long Way Up” and still waiting...
“Many supercars couldn’t crack 0-60 times under 4 seconds around the turn of the century.”
5th Gear - Flying EVs
My 4 door Tacoma with the 6' bed is a livable size in an urban setting. Its just too tall. I ride dirtbikes too, but don’t need huge ground clearance to get to the trailhead. I’d like to see a 2 or 4 door, Metris van-based pickup with a 6' bed at the same floor height as the van.
Only children should get trophies taller than they are.
“...Street Circuit Looks Unlike Any Other”
You mean no more 1.8 or 2.0 turbo 4's that consume oil or eat timing belts/chains? Boohoo.
1st gear. Hopefully the continuing growth of electrification will mean the end of these increasingly complex measures to eke out the last fractions of a % of fuel economy. Move to smaller, lighter gas engines with electric assist for more dramatic fuel economy improvements.
