I guess much of Subaru’s volume comes from pseudo SUVs for the American market, which maybe don’t play well in the UK.  But 67 million affluent people will still buy a lot of cars.

Ya, me too. The ECO icon stays lit a lot of the time too. Wishfull thinking I guess. It is a 4x4 with winter tires, but I haven’t even driven in significant snow yet this year. I would expect a RWD car to get better mileage than the SUV.

I just acquired a ‘11 Grand Cherokee V8 and I’m trying to figure out if the fuel economy display is for real. After a few months of mainly short distance city driving it’s showing AVG 18.5 l/100Km or 12.7 MPG !! Could it be that bad?

Do you have a Pano roof? I’ve read many horror stories of significant irreparable water leaks and it’s the one thing that scares me away from a Sportwagen. Having owned a B5 Passat with leaks... :(
