I’m not saying I like subscriptions, but kids are being conditioned to accept that reality. Music and video streaming are just the tip of the iceberg. What’s Jalopink reporting these days....Volvo & Porsche  subscriptions and even options on your car will be subscription based?

A hoist mounted in the truck still requires maintenance. Probably more than a trailer ever will. And a motorcycle can be loaded in a pickup without that hoist. A good quality ramp is all you need.

Was it the drivers that couldn’t cut it, or the cars they were stuck in?

Call me crazy, but how about if you put an axle with two car sized wheels under that platform, then added some way to attach it to the back of the vehicle. Then you could ride the bike on/off the platform and the bed of the truck could still be used to load other stuff. Not sure if the idea will catch on, but...

I smell a BOGO sale!

Clever solution to battery recharging. As long as it has the option for a universal quick charge connector.

Like a propane tank exchange program. Just need all OEM’s to agree on a standard external size/connection. Every other product is moving to towards a subscription based revenue system. Battery subscription is the next step.

I drive a ‘15 4x4 Tacoma. Parked next to a new Ranger, my truck looks low.
Forget the discount bin truck though. Other than fleets, not enough will buy one.

I found this on autoevolution.com website. It would neat to see these options in production ;)

It’s a shame Tesla (Elon?) went bat-shit crazy with the design of this. But as a hype generator, it worked brilliantly.

How many people have put the TRD supercharger on a 4.0 Taco?

I’ve got a 2015 SR5 and agree with all your sentiments. My 4.0 is sluggish with poor fuel economy, but the 2019 loaner I had for a day was pitiful. It couldn’t even hold top gear on a flat highway into a headwind. The transmission constantly hunted for the right gear. Just not enough torque.

I’ve just joined the Jeep cult with the purchase of my neighbors very well maintained 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited with V-8. Lets see what all the fuss is about. Haven’t seen the Jeep Wave though ;)

That is the definition of “over and above”.

If that were the new RAV-4 I’d be stoked!

But I get so pissed off with the C&D slide shows too. You can’t go back to the beginning with the browser without going back through every slide you already looked at. The search function is difficult to filter as well. I searched BMW and got 2,475 results. Then narrow it down as BWM wagon, you get 51,862 results.

Soooo.... he has an Accord with 300K on the clock. No mention that he hates the car. And wantscomfortable, reasonable gas mileage, some pep for the backroad passing, and modern amenities if possible”.  How is another Accord not at the top of the list?

I’m guessing it was written incorrectly. Probably means timing belt done 22K ago.

It’s missing something.

Given the geography of the region, they might have been better off buying everyone a helicopter instead of building roads.
