Likely a good feature for commercial vehicles where multiple users drive the same truck on different days. Everyone knows the door code, and locks the keys inside.

Its no wonder that the press event took place in the west. This, and the Raptor are really just desert trucks. I can’t really believe anyone living east of the Mississipi could use this beast. 6,200 lbs stuck in the mud would be a bitch to haul out. Light-weight and narrow works better in the woods.

I have another phrase I use (often when referring to auto mechanics). If I want to risk doing it wrong, I can do it myself. When I pay a professional, I expect it done right the first time.  Autonomous cars better get it right ALL the time.

This will be a neat tool for outdoors people, but as a recreational toy, not so much.  And there’s no way you’ll want to go anywhere near 60 Mph on that thing. 30 tops, on any surface other than asphalt.

High Price? Meh, if the pricing model of current American full size trucks holds true there’ll be 20% discounts on the hood after the Edition 1 has sold thru.
