There’s always a GTI/R ! DSG should give you enough fun, although not the same I know.

My wife just bought a 2003 Miata from neighbor. Low mileage, 6spd always garaged. She’s re-learning how to drive a manual and having fun. We know its a toy but couldn’t justify a new Miata for a couple weekends a month to play around.
I have to disagree. Allen head bolts will stay on the end of tools for easy insertion into tight spaces. Almost every Torx bolt I’ve come across won’t stay on the end of my key or socket head tool. If a bolt is so rusted into place, it doesn’t much matter which head is on it.
See the Audi S4 ‘Nice Price/No Dice’ from the other day. I haven’t done a timing chain job on that car, but certainly don’t want to.
“Torx and other actually useful bits exist. Stop installing magic hexagon into circle creation points.”
So what you’re saying is there’s no hope of an updated Golf Sportwagen?
“Along with the engine work [Timing Chain], the car received a new clutch, and both jobs were done back in 2014.”
Of course, no one wants to pay for information these days. That’s why we’re left having to sift through endless amounts of (un/in?)credible sources that any nut with an agenda can put online.
Have you seen Camaro or Mustang pricing?
I assume it will only operate when people are not in the car.
Grateful(?) that the VP debate analysis only lasted one day.
Why would I want to carry a quad? I’m not a farmer/hunter ;)
Most people don’t seem to care about the tailgate down. I do it with two bikes, but a single bike can go in on a diagonal to close the gate. I like to have all the little things contained, without having to worry about them falling out. You know, oils, tools, gas, ramp etc. Also, the rear view camera is in the…
Exactly right about the bed length. I have a Tacoma with 6' bed, because it can carry my dirtbike with the tailgate up and latched. I wish it was 7' long so I could carry two bikes with the tailgate up. Honda makes dirtbikes. Surely they should know bed length is important for riders.
The 1st gen Ridgeline did look blocky and ‘truckier’. Same as the 2nd generation Pilot.
All good points. I’m a wagon believer, since I had a ‘99 B5 Passat Wagon followed by a ‘05 manual Mazda6 Wagon. But your points are only generalizations if we’re talking 90s Explorers or Gwagens. I think many modern SUV/CUVs have had most negatives engineered out of them. My Mazda6 with the V6 got horrible fuel…
I know how much Americans love government regulations, but hear me out.
Governments could create an instant market for cars like this by mandating that new drivers spend 1-2 years in a Hp and size restricted class. Particularly in urban areas.
According to Car&Driver “the typical car (around 19 to 20 inches) and conventional crossovers (in the 27- to 28-inch range)” - meaning you have to drop down an extra 7"-9". That’s not inconsequential.
Hey, you’re talking about our Miata....
