C’s get degrees. For most employers the degree is all that usually matters.

Yeah I agree, it was about half and half for both groups being cool or assholes. The one that really got me was the dad and daughter with the red truck who wouldn’t open the hood because he didn’t want people to see what they were running. Like chill out dude, no one gives a fuck about your tough guy image.
Boooooooo!!!!
You know it wasn’t just the first gen right? You could get a manual SLK all the way until 2015 with the 1.8L turbo engine. I’m pretty sure it was the last Mercedes with a manual in the states for a long time. The C-class was still available with a manual until 2010 or 2011 as well.
So you don’t want a screen, which is designed and tested to be as little distracting as possible, but you want a handheld phone, which is extremely distracting (and illegal in 16 states)?
Yeah that’s not a diverging diamond. The lanes going under the overpass don’t switch sides of the road, so people are still turning left against traffic and those lanes have to stop and wait for them to turn. On a diverging diamond they wouldn’t have to do this.
That’s a pretty good one. Another one for you, my old boss used to call engineers with only research experience and no real world engineering experience “Country Club Engineers.”
Or he could be like my neighbor who would just go out into his carport and rev up his C5 every few weeks. Well at least until he sold it last month.
There’s a time limit. You only have like 15 minutes to edit a post. After that your spelling/grammar/whatever mistake is there forever.
Don’t forget Utah. The Outback was the number one passenger car for awhile there.
That’s why I’m totally cool stopping at the empty Chevron right across the street from the super packed ARCO. The couple bucks extra a tank is worth not having to deal with the never-ending lines of crazies who fill up at ARCO.
Every city/town in Oregon and Washington have urban growth boundaries. Portland has just built up to it’s boundary already. Some of the other cities still have a bit of room.
I know a few people at my work who all have Model 3 reservations, but bought used Leaf’s to drive around for now while waiting for the cheap Model 3.
I think all the bioweapon mode does is create a high pressure area inside the cabin so no air can leak in. So just enough air will be flowing out of these vents that none can come in. And the incoming air runs through some kind of high tech filter.
This video shows similar braking performance with discs you can get from any OEM if you’re willing to pay for them.
You should spend more time on YouTube my friend. Here’s an older Volvo that is probably identical to what you would get in North America.
The brakes on that Volvo are nothing special, it just has a predictive emergency braking system. Truck brakes are pretty strong, and disc brakes are becoming more and more popular than drums, but they are still a pretty expensive option.
What if I told you that increasing fuel economy is not only related to engine design...
Except we haven’t been pushing fuel economy regulations recently, only safety and emissions, hence heavier cars with worse fuel economy. The CAFE standard was at 27.5 MPG from 1990 until 2010. For 20 years we didn’t make the manufacturers produce cars with better fuel economy.
Except if we roll them back we will never know. Do you know what’s going on in the engineering departments at every automaker? Maybe they all have (or had at least) new engine programs in progress that were to be released in 5-10 years.
