I voted for Trump. What do you want us to say, “grow up and stop your crying?” I didn’t think so, so as we have for the year leading up to the election we’ll probably remain silent and just laugh to ourselves at your meltdowns.

Gee, the one unifying theme in all these was a dislike and mistrust of Hillary. Something much of the left agrees with. Someone remind me why the DNC pretty much anointed her as the nominee again?

He should have been wearing his helmet.

I’m not making equivalencies between the men, I’m making equivalencies between the reaction to the men. The point is that people tend to exaggerate.

Extra salty tears today :)

Wow.
no bias here... at all.
i think this says more about you the writer than the subject.

“The most important job of the press is to inform the public about what exactly the government is doing, thereby keeping the government’s power in check and keeping our leaders accountable to us all.”

You’re fooling nobody. If Trump walked into the same room as you you’d curl up like a turtle.

Certainly no reporters ever cozied up to the Obamas, Bushes, or Clintons in order to gain access. The press has set a bad precedent for years, pretending to give a shit about this issue now is disingenuous. You should be concerned, the fact that you weren’t until Dear Leader Trump got elected is problematic...

Funny how you discovered and decided to report on regulatory capture as soon as your horse lost the big race.

unfortunate mic placement

for you hitting the nail on the head

I love hearing McD workers bellow about how they can’t feed their kids on their burger-pay. Hey, Flippy, here’s a thought: maybe don’t have kids before you can afford them. I mean, do people not know where babies come from?

I don’t understand why people think there is ample margin in small business to pay a $15 minimum wage.

No. The offset is in the small business. They’re the ones stuck in the middle, not making enough to abuse the tax code the way that larger businesses can but making enough to bear the brunt of that part of the curve that has to eat the wash from their yachts, in terms of taxes.

>but Jost is saying that liberals should deemphasize equal rights for all people because it alienates rednecks.

I have a feeling that Jost would not characterize what he’s saying in that way. This piece would be a lot more effective if it accurately represented the viewpoint it’s arguing against.

I’d say passing... Especially for Jason Williams. Now Jayson Williams, boy that guy could shoot.

RE: The regulatory attorney. I fear *this* will be what Obama’s legacy winds up being (especially if the ACA is gutted/repealed). Every batshit crazy decision trump makes will be caveated in history books with “He was able to do this because Obama consolidated more and more power in the executive branch through

You’re disowning your inlaws and denying them time with their own grandchild because of how they voted in a Presidential election? Really???
