Unless people are giving out full sized candy bars, it would seem that most Halloween candy would be too small to fit a razor blade. Maybe a singe Reese’s peanut butter cup would fit one, but that’s about it.

“That cuts both ways, or do you just mean for people who vote against what you’ve determined their interests are?”
Well, it’s a funny comeback to attack the person writing a comment rather than saying something with content, but I invite you to try. I’ve been interested in politics all my life, and I am not saying the US should adopt every policy every other developing nation offers (among them proper unemployment and health…
Most of them are Republicans that are trying to bankrupt this country and turn it into a Dictatorship.
It’s a good analogy, and even moreso when you consider that there was a time when Fire Departments were paid by the fire. We put a stop to that after it was discovered that they were going around starting fires so that they could be paid to put them out.
We were planning on replacing the 08 Sienna within the next year or so anyway. So spending 6k to fix a motor only to keep the car another year or so didn't make sense when I could use that money towards my downpayment.
I’ve resorted to the Fire Department analogy to get through to my conservative family members:
The next time one of my younger cousins tell me they want to start a family I will show them my paycheck stub and how much gets taken out to just have access to insurance, and how much we have to pay out of pocket before insurance even pays a penny.
With the exception of a $1000 rebate from Honda the entire cost of the conversion was out of pocket.
I’m still waiting for someone to tell me what exactly is wrong with a little socialism, in moderation. Despotism, sure, that’s a problem—but that’s a political system, not an economic one. You can have a totalitarian government that’s thoroughly capitalist, a socialist state that’s fully democratic, or vice versa. If…
So what makes a van with $40,000 in extras not worth a $6k motor?
Agreed. As another self employed person, you have to pay a lot of money for not much coverage. It’s basically traumatic insurance coverage. Anybody who hates Obamacare has never had to buy insurance on their own.
If the US falls apart, I really hope an independent New England could copy a Norway-type model.
Fear, ignorance, greed, xenophobia, stupidity, tradition, spite, and oftentimes a lack of meaningful choices. Oh, and a lot of people are just fucking crazy.
It is best described one of a few ways...
Because, “muh gunzzz”
It is most definitely covered in Norway. If you require it, the healthcare system will cover modifications to vehicles, homes and will provide you with a power wheelchair.
This, exactly. A 2008 Toyota falling apart does not fit the narrative. We just sold our 2002 Camry after it failed tech inspection here in Norway. It took a literal 5 seconds to sell the car to Nigeria. Took the ad down after 4 minutes and 30 people had tried to call or message me, but nr. 1 got it.
The difference here is that “razor blades in Halloween candy” is an urban myth.
I hate the world we are living in. Stuff like this started as creepy urban legend ghost story stuff, then a bunch of wannabe edgelords and malicious bastards were all like “but like what if we really did it, hurr-durr”.
