It might be different for those without children and whose partners don’t travel. Mine travels several times a month for work and we have 3 children. So yeah, I don’t get the down time I need. And really, we all have different requirements for solitude. 

On one side, I’m glad I’m not single because SWEET JEEBUS dating now would be awful. But then, I think about all the glorious alone time and how much I love eating out solo and drinking alone with a book. Saying you are Self Partnered is very GOOP adjacent and I disapprove.

There are a couple places here that do the voucher thing and I love it! The organization that arranges it also has “blessings boxes” that they stock where people can take what they need.

The schools are still open. The principal and VP (along with other staff members) are there every day, 8-3.

I watched it. It was weird for all the reasons you listed. After a while I wanted to scream every time she said “y’all”. It was a bit much. I hated her boots. Other than that it was fine. 

I don’t hate it. If I had the funds, I’d send all my kids to fancy summer camp. They’re kids. But I don’t. So they mostly hung out at home and are currently watching their shows and playing fortnite. I tried to get them out. Now I’m tired and give up. 

This whole thing is so gross. Some person here was selling first day of school shirts (which, wtf). The boys ones had “Mr Stealyourgirl” and the girls “daddy’s princess”.
