I did a free tour of the assembly plant for the e-Golf in Dresden. It was an all glass window multi-level factory and it was so cool with natural light pouring in. Night and day difference from the plant I work at. I’d recommend anyone visiting the area to check it out.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like you’re going above and beyond which shouldn’t be the case in such a food abundant place like the US. Maybe you’ve seen this before, but it’s a go to recipe book for me that has served me well, with the premise of eating healthy and cheap.

As a recent TourX owner, may I ask what work you’re getting done?

Damn. I did an internship in Allentown a few summers ago and coincidentally enjoyed the shortest commute of my life (~7 min). Sigh. Now living out West I’m at 60-70 min. I would take the bus to Manhattan from Allentown every few weekends and even that was exhausting enough so I don’t know how she does it daily.  

I just got a new 2018 TourX for ~$23K+ tax. It made sense to me to get the new one vs some used comparables I was cross-shopping.

And the last year for the 6 year/72k warranty is a plus.  

A used 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake comes in right under $50K, dog friendly, fast, and classy. She’ll likely end up holding the bag on the sharp depreciation though, but will have a good time.

When I feel myself get stressed, which is more often now that I’ve started grad school, I try to meditate before crashing to sleep. I do a Vowel Check which I once read in a self help book. So it helps me to put things into a daily perspective instead of just letting time blend, without any feelings other than anxiety.
