Look into his work.

Wait, how is wanting to use a condom to prevent HIV transmission a negative thing? Obviously, PrEP prevents transmission to someone HIV negative and ART prevents transmission from someone HIV positive (depending on the individual’s regimen and viral loads etc.), but I can’t see why someone bemoaning a lack of condom

I once reported a video of cars running over protesters, set to “Move Bitch Get Out The Way”, and was told it doesn’t go against their community standards.

Ok, let me remove my fascinator of condescension then—

I think it ups the hotness. (Yes, this is what I think about when looking a prominent world leader.)

For those of you who aren’t Canadian or didn’t study Canadian politics, you have to sort of understand what his dad did in the 1970s to understand where Justin is coming from:

Seriuosly - Trudeau showed an amazing amount of restraint. I get it, the cheeturd is known for reprisals but people need to stop being afraid of his reaction.

I honestly have never met a rude Canadian ... Quebecois though ...

I was really proud of his response. He is my Prime Minister and I’m old enough to remember the good ones, the bad ones, the honest ones, and the monsters (and the monster that is Stephen Harper).

Also; your Commander in Chief is a manchild and would have slapped us with a bunch of BS tarriffs and done all kinds of other things at the cost of thousands of Canadian (and American) jobs. Also does things like seize PPE, and otherwise regularly screw us over just because his feelings are hurt.

that COVID beard tho...

It occurs to me that dog-whistles work in both directions. The pause is a dog-whistle to anyone with a 100+ IQ that Trump is far outside the realm of diplomatic speech, but there’s *no point* openly criticizing him. Whose mind is open to be changed by anything Trudeau could say, at this point? I don’t believe there

Oh fuck off with the whole “nernerner cndian am polyt” bullshit. This has nothing to do with politeness. Trudeau was at a loss for words because he wanted to call Trump out, but he can’t because the Canadian economy could suffer grave consequences if we piss off Doritos Mussolini.

Anyway, I found it bizarre and unsettling, but I think it might just be a cultural difference.

Welcome to Canada, where we have two official languages and our bilingual PM says the same thing in both for the benefit of our dual language population. It’s considerate, y’know?

Ugh, no. The polite stereotype is cute but it’s just a stereotype. Trudeau didn’t say what he really feels because it wouldn’t be diplomatic, and he doesn’t want Trump to launch a nuke at us. It’s a delicate relationship right now, and Trudeau’s always been caught once before saying bad stuff about Trump (that video

Hi, Lauren. Respectfully, I disagree. While he could have spoken out to condemn Trump (which would have been excellent) that was still a very good answer. Part of being anti-racist is to come to terms with one’s own implicit and internalized biases rather than deflect it onto another.

I have a small but nice group of friends and several hobbies, but feel like I rarely have fun or am excited. About five years ago, I made this big plan to improve my life. I got a post-grad degree and changed careers. Now all I have is a pile of student loans and an equally dull career but with longer hours.

“finding your purpose” is a mugs game for chumps, created by people marketing a service to help you find it. Self-actualization comes outside of work, through your hobbies, or pets, or even children (eegh) for some people.”

I am a young American graduate student in the state of Iowa. I am buried under a mountain of student debt and have lost all hope of ever paying it back. Neither of the major American political parties care to assist me.
