Kinda surprised he didn’t insist on being his own lawyer.

I do wonder, though, how well Bernie would be doing under these circumstances.

Other weird fact: Josh Hawley was born on literally the last day of the ‘70s.

Weird thing is, DeSantis will turn 45 in 2024.

My favorite movie.

I think allowing people to sing along to a song they like is respectful.

Are you really going all “Triggered!” on me? I’m not one to say “Triggered!” unironically, so if this is some kind of attempt to give me what you imagine is a taste of my own medicine, it’s not working.

OK, let’s get back to rap. Presumably the reason black rappers can say the n-word is that when they say it it’s not a slur. What I have a problem with is the idea that if a white person sings along to it it is a slur, even though all they’re doing is repeating what the singer is saying. People call this distinction

My first comment in this thread was replying to you replying to someone else talking about rappers using the n-word, so I don’t see how I’m the one who shifted the topic away from Beyonce.

Clearly you dislike Dire Straits so much you refuse to spell the name correctly.

Does him being straight mean straight people shouldn’t even play the song?

That would make Mark Knopfler an asshole, since he’s not gay.

How important is popularity when it comes to whether abortion should be legal, really? A lot of people have touted polls showing majority support for abortion rights to support its legality, and I’m not saying that’s not a significant consideration, but I wonder what you’d think if polls showed most people opposed

Is a straight person not allowed to say “faggot” when singing along to “Money for Nothing”?

Does the nuance of a person singing along to a rap song as opposed to saying the n-word as a genuine expression of hatred not count?

I wonder if climate change deniers are just people who are always cold.

Has any streaming show ever been picked up by another streaming service?

Two consecutive videos!

One thing I don’t think is quite fair is for people to bring up some of the more questionable things about the books and act like we should’ve seen this coming. By that logic I think you could argue that George Lucas must be a bigot because of some of the more questionable things in Star Wars.

There are people who still like it.
