There are a lot of legitimate criticisms of Sorkin, but I think "People don't talk like that!" is pretty misguided because, well, it's fiction.

I think the idea that subpar sequels somehow ruins the original's reputation is actually pretty rare. One exception is probably The Hangover. Seems like no one remembers how popular it was before the sequels.
What makes you think that? Seems to me like people still mention it a lot.
I'll admit I liked her better than Robin Curtis.
I like Search for Spock better than Wrath of Khan. No, really.
I liked the movie, but didn't care for the way it treated Art Howe(which apparently reflects the views of Michael Lewis as well). The real Howe was pretty upset by his portrayal, and not without good reason from what I hear; he's pretty well-respected by his baseball peers.
I agree that SWC was a really good show, but it debuted after he joined The Daily Show.
I really liked this show and am really bummed that Carvey didn't have a better career, but it should be noted that if this show hadn't been canceled Colbert wouldn't have joined The Daily Show, and so he never would've hosted the Report or the Late Show. Maybe he would've become a star another way, but probably…
I thought the way he said "Ya fiyahd!" was uncannily prescient.
Ever notice how the mythology of sci-fi religions don't even make good science fiction? They all sound like the biggest Grade-Z trash imaginable.
One might say they're rife with them.
Even though it'll be impossible from now on to think of Cosby's work without thinking of what he did, I think that if people want to they should be able to still enjoy his work as long as they understand what he did and can separate that from his work. If we can still watch Roman Polanski movies, I don't see why we…
Stand on Zanzibar was surprisingly accurate in a number of things, like China replacing the Soviet Union as America's biggest rival.
There was a SeaQuest DSV episode where a character was reminiscing about the 2009 World Series between Seattle and Havana.
No mention of his Kimmy episode?
Weirdly enough, she actually accused people who opposed her argument of racism, because she believed that since Native Americans had no concept of property rights and thus no right to defend their land against the civilized, property-respecting Europeans, to argue that they had the right to defend their land was to…
That attitude is exactly why she believed that Europeans were completely justified in conquering the Native Americans because the Native Americans were a bunch of savages who had no right to defend their land against a "superior" culture.
Speaking of Sorkin movies, I think that A Few Good Men is particularly relevant now because of the police brutality scandals in recent years, because of how it portrays the balance between respecting those who serve and protect us and holding them accountable when they go too far.
I wonder what it would take to have a Star Wars film that isn't a hit.
So is she guaranteed to be a star or what? She's an attractive young actress who's famous for brilliantly playing several different characters in the same show, so…
