You can really hear it on Dre's verses on Good Kid by Kendrick Lamar too - he's doing the Kendrick "ahh" pause bit and everything. Kendrick must've not only written it but recorded a guide vocal for Dre too.

Wow, It Follows sounds really interesting. I'm a real sucker for Carpenter and directors (and musicians) influenced by him. That's part of why I loved The Raid: Redemption so much, for example.
