You're right; there are a lot of stupid people who think you can get media for free. But, and here comes some anecdotal data, I get a lot of my music for free. Many DJs have podcasts and live radio shows that you can download for free from their sites or itunes or any number of other sources. So I do. I go to their

High speed rail makes sense in certain areas. The northeast, for instance, since many cities are relatively close together. You can move by train much more easily than by plane, and trains tend to deposit you into the city where you need to be, rather than out on the metro edge where airports have to be.

Nokia, running android, with no crappy UI on top. Watch their phone sales soar.

With all the lawsuits and anti-p2p tactics, and they never bother to read the studies that say pirating has increased consumption of music and movies. Just the other day one came out from Japan about anime. I will never understand the idea that you can sue people (read: your customers) and think it's all going to end

So I should just say "that sucks" and go on?

I just started twittering today and downloaded TwiDroyd on the recommendation of a couple of friends. Tweetdeck was second by nominations so maybe I'll try that afterward. Anyone have preferences one way or another? I do use two accounts so that's necessary.

Though you will still receive local notifications like your calendar and tasks.

I like having it accessible but not there all the time. Ruins the aesthetic I'm going for; obviously, that's more important to me.

Since I can't put CM on my phone, I don't have that. But some apps do vary the color on their own. I am now going to look for an app that allows me to mess with it. Between you and one of my other friends who just put CM on their OG, I'm really wishing I could put CM on it.

I tell them that it's in airplane mode and they've never bothered me about it.

Another benefit: you won't get phantom vibrate. I hate it when I'm talking to someone and my phone is in my pocket and I swear it vibrates yet there's no notification.

Hahahahaha I've been so used to the blinking light for minor reminders that it's not a big deal. I only check it so often to make sure I don't have anything new. I've also found that different notifications make my LED blink in different shades. Handy, that.

Since airplanes aren't going to fall out of the sky when we use our phones, is it still going to be called Airplane mode?

They have learned how not to be seen.

@bdinger: Lots of fantastic advice in there. I will be implementing some of that in my routine. Thank you!

@Unionhawk: OneNote was my favorite app during college. It is unbelievably useful on a tablet. Taking notes and recording lectures has never been so easy.

Are the seven types of Android owners any different?
