@jdale: I usually just use 1/1/year of birth. It's close enough that they can't prove it false and easy to remember if I ever have to.

@Kaiser-Machead: So much win.
@airgreat151: Done with TiB and too late discovered that it only backs up your system and app data and not the app itself. I had uninstalled AmazonMP3, which I read you have to have when your phone gets updated to the next version. As I haven't yet gone fully custom, I'd like to be able to receive that update, so I…
@Anonymous is Incognito: At the Sign of the Prancing Pony from Fellowship. Itunes shuffle says next shall be...some Russian folk band I can't type.
@airgreat151: I downloaded Titanium Backup and am running that now. After, I will probably poke around in the phone and see what's new. Then I'll look into ROMs.
@GrabbinPeelz: You can run outlook and only use it when you get an email asking for scheduling.
@airgreat151: Bah! I will look around and see what I can find that I like.
Just rooted my phone! D2G, using z4root. Incredibly simple. I know it's nothing to brag about in forums such as these, but I've never done it before and it's pretty nifty. Next step, CM!
@emrichar: I've had an X series tablet for years and it's still going strong. It weighs just over 4 pounds with the extended battery and works wonderfully through most of the day. And it'll never go out of style. :)
@e-gadgetjunkie: Paint. Also, does it go behind the cover? If so, why does it matter if it's white?
@Mr.Gawn: Is that what Jalopnik uses? Because that annoys me a lot. Gizmodo looks the same as it always has for me.
I'm really happy with my old Lenovo X60. I didn't opt for the touch screen, but being able to have a single laptop/tablet is nice. It's very versatile and easier to upgrade; all I have left is to put in an SSD.
@Platypus Man: 3
@undecim: Plug one UPS into another UPS. Achieve unlimited power!
@meddlingmonkey: Look at picasa's web interface. I use picasa on my desktop but I've never uploaded with it. Test some photos there to see if you can do what you want; if not, try another upload service.
@Srndz: But NE2 is different from the discounts after 2 years anyway, it's only for the main line. As that isn't me, I'm not really worried. Phones will still be cheap-ish for most people. If you have a NE2 discount, I'd save it for the more expensive phone.
@meddlingmonkey: Lots of internet cafes have card readers, and I think some photo sites allow basic editing. What were you thinking about editing?
@Srndz: I didn't know VZW was discontinuing NE2. What are they replacing it with, or will we just have to pay full price on phones?
Looking to root my Droid2. Possibly install CM if it's possible. Has anyone done this and do you have references or tips?
