Eh, I’d say remove the last forty eight episodes of Dexter and you might be on to something. (Which sounds snarky, I know, but for me it peaked with the season 4 finale and would have been a fantastically shocking way to end it).

Damnit, I was going to make that joke!

This is awful, awful news, he will be enormously missed.

I watched one episode from season 1 and decided not to bother with it, but a couple of years later a friend recommended I at least gave an episode from season 2 a shot, and after that I was hooked.

It’s astonishing we’ve reached 2021 before such a thing took place though.

I liked it more than you did but I largely agree, and musically I was expecting so, so much more from the movie than what we got.

I’m with you 100% there, especially when it comes to the girl playing Annette, she was stunning in that final scene and it makes the rest of the film seem slightly off due to that, or it did for me at least.

It looks okay but it’s no Hover Bother.

I’d love more Mapleworth Murders too, as fond as I was of Reno 911! that was the best series on Quibi for me.

And again.

He’s the one reason I’m looking forward to the movie.

Huh, it seems like all my posts are pending approval now, is this happening to everyone or has the AV Club finally gotten fed up with me criticising Barsanti and put me back in the greys?

Aw man, this is crappy news, if anyone’s wondering if it’s worth watching still I’d say it definitely is.

Christ, I wish that had come with a warning that it featured now only James Corden but also fucking Michael McIntyre.

This is shitty, shitty news, 15 Storeys High is one of the best sitcoms of the 21st century (and I don’t say that lightly), and I wish the obituaries both here and elsewhere had written more about it as it is something very special.

Re: “We’re sure Call Me Kat is great and all” - Um, maybe, as part of your role as a writer for a pop culture site, you might have watched the show? I get that with so many series now airing it’s impossible to watch everything, but maybe you could have caught one episode, just so you’d know if it was any good?

Oh, and

Absolutely, I thought he was superb and this is the first time I’ve ever seen anyone suggesting otherwise so I’m quite surprised.

It was a quote from the Chris Morris series Brass Eye, with Morris being Coogan’s co-star in The Day Today, and was just meant as a joke.

I don’t know, it was released in 2004 which is three years afterwards, by that time it was certainly something that the stand up scene was covering, if not tv comedy.

I’m with you there, I’m not a huge fan of Patrick Marber (the person, at least) but he is superb in that role.
