Despite the weirdness Lynch added to his version (Lynch being Lynch), his version got the characters better, I think.

Call me crazy, but I don’t even know why they continued making this show after Jude Law left.

I don’t really listen to podcasts, but I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that podcasts probably make money from advertising.

Robbie’s Barbie was, for the most part, the straight-woman, setting up Gosling and to a lesser extent Ferrera, who get the big, broad and/or meaty stuff. Her Barbie doesn’t really get any big performative moments — in a different movie, the monologue about women’s expectations would’ve gone to her, not America…

I love Tituss and I’m also a big Jesus Christ Superstar so I’m there with you on Season 2.

Yeah, I feel like the first season is better, in that the story was better, while the second season had a lot going on in different directions and was altogether pretty nebulous, but whenever I think of going back to watch anything again, easily 9/10 it’s from the second season.

Season also had some great songs. “Talk to Daddy” was an excellent bop.

I kinda loved Schmigadoon. It shouldn’t have worked, and in a lot of ways didn’t work, but somehow it also kinda worked. Most of all, the cast was amazing, like, super amazing. Their commitment to the very silliest of premises and the sheer amount of talent involved just made it fun to watch every time.

And it could’ve been simpler, and more effective, if they’d looked to Maslany’s previous show Orphan Black.  Employ practical makeup effects, use a suitably tall bodybuilder type for She Hulk, and digitally composite Maslany’s face on the actor.  

Tatiana being unable to find a job is one of the great travesties of Hollywood at the moment.

Funnier people than Jo Koy have bombed as awards show hosts. Looking at you, David Letterman. Difference there is that in the aftermath, as far as I know, Letterman never called Oprah and Uma marshmallows, and instead made himself the butt of the joke. Jo, you could stand to learn from Dave.

There are a lot of people out there who don’t know the shit that Scientology has pulled and continues to pull. Though anyone in the acting business is doing themselves a disservice if they don’t look into it, if only to save themselves a lot of time and money.
